John 1:1

by Hadley Carr

I’m learning Greek and I have learned it enough to tell you this—
Εν αρχι ην ο λογος και ο λογος προς Θον και Θεός ην ο λογος

In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and God was the Word

The word λογος translates as Word
The usage of Word in that verse helps us describe why the Word was with God in John 1:1

God the Author of the Word of God prophesied through Isaiah of the Messiah. God had this in plan from the beginning. The usage of λογος in the verse means Word like I said and as I researched the definitions of word I found that word can mean promise or plan.
The plan of God being manifest in the flesh was from the very beginning
The promise of God through Isaiah is that God with us would come here and be with us and die and resurrect

Isaiah 7:14, Isaiah 9:6, John 1:1-14. I Timothy 3:16

So you could say that the plan or promise was with God from the very start.

Hi Hadley!

Yes, I agree, that was His plan and promise from the very start. The Apostle John plainly confirmed it:

And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world (Revelation 13:8).

Also, we can see this clearly when we look at all of the Bible Prophesies Fulfilled in the New Testament (https://www.lovinggospel.com/BiblePropheciesFulfilled.html).
