Making Them Us

Making Them Us comes from preaching I heard the other day at church. I want to review that, and then extend it to what I really want to talk about.

The preaching was about the Apostle Peter, when God gave him the vision to go to Cornelius' house, and simultaneously gave Cornelius the vision that Peter would come to his house as written in Acts 10:1-16. We see by reading Acts 10:39-43 that Peter was simply obeying Jesus when he, a Jew, went to Cornelius' house, a Gentile, to preach the Gospel.

And in Acts 10:44-48 we see that "God is not a respecter of persons" as Peter had declared in Acts 10:34, when Peter was preaching to Cornelius and his household, as these Gentiles were all filled with the Holy Ghost and spoke in tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance just as it happened in Acts 2:4 to about 120 people, including Peter, Mary, the mother of Jesus, the apostles, and others (Acts 1:13,14 and 15); and then 3000 Jews who heard Peter's preaching (Acts 2:16-48) on the day of Pentecost. And Cornelius and his household were also baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, just like the Jews on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2:41).

It is undeniably evident that the "Us" refers to born again Christians. After this experience, the "us" was not just "Jews" but it included "Gentiles" as well. And this Gospel of Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) is obeyed by obeying Acts 2:38 around the globe, "Making Them Us".

Expanding the Concept of Us

And now I want to take this concept further because it expands the Kingdom of God exponentially. I am going to use a person in Kenya and his ministry to demonstrate the point. His name is Pastor Henry Nirima. I have already written a page about his ministry In Search of God. In many ways, this is just a continuation of that study.

Since I met Pastor Nirima in early January, he has preached the sermon above to hundreds of people in Bungoma, Kenya,  and the surrounding area. Below is the list of numbers who were born again and became "Us"

  1. Kapsokwany - 443 baptized and 137 filled with the Holy Spirit
  2. Luanda Maseno - 33 baptized and filled with Holy Spirit
  3. Nairobi - 18 baptized and filled with Holy Spirit
  4. Kisumu - 23 baptized and filled with Holy Spirit
  5. Budalangi - 47  baptized and filled with Holy Spirit

Us Now Becoming Pastors, Bishops, Elders, and Teachers

But now I want to change the "us", to not just born again Christians but to "Christian Pastors, Bishops, elders and teachers" who now are doing the same thing that Brother Henry is doing. This is exactly what the apostle Paul taught Timothy to do:

Timothy, my dear son, be strong through the grace that God gives you in Christ Jesus. You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others. Endure suffering along with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus  (2 Timothy 2:1-3)

Since January 2023, Brother Henry, with help from pastors who are have been filled with the Holy Ghost, has re-baptized 151 pastors and bishops, who were previously baptized incorrectly in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, as listed below:

  1. Sangalo -7 pastors
  2. Bungoma -2 bishops, 13 pastors
  3. Ejinja - 1 bishop, 10 pastors
  4. Nambale  - First time -5 pastors, Second time - 17 pastors
  5. Marakwet - 3 pastors
  6. Kapsokwany - 21 pastors
  7. Chavakali - 37 pastors
  8. Igunga - 19 pastors
  9. Butere - 16 pastors

Ten of the sixteen pastors from the Butere revival ready to be baptized.

Knowing the result from one Pastor, one can readily see how the Kingdom of God can grow exponentially, provided these 139 pastors now baptize all those who need to be re-baptized in their churches and start evangelizing in their areas, and teaching other trinitarian preaches the truth about Matthew 28:19.

Nambale Uganda 22 souls were baprtized

At Mambale, Uganda, 22 souls are ready to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.

A report of what I am just talking about, just came to me as I am writing this. One of the pastors from Nambale baptized twenty-two souls. That is just one of the 139 pastors. This is the importance of doing what Jesus is blessing.

The Important Takeaway

Yes, Brother Nerima is doing what Jesus is blessing today. But you don't have to be a pastor to go and teach the lost so they can teach the lost (2 Timothy 2:1-3). If you have been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins (Acts 2:38) and filled with the Holy Ghost, speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance (Acts 2:4), you can start witnessing immediately (Acts 1:8) this Bible truth that I am talking about today, in the name of Jesus Christ.
